Modern with an edgy feel, this stylish residence in the Melbourne suburb of Prahran utilises lighting as a key architectural feature.
The use of raw materials, exposed services and neutral colours throughout this home are spectacularly enhanced by the AUS 60 SQUARE lighting system. The dramatic zig-zag appearance of the luminaires is achieved by made-to-measure bends in a black powdercoat finish. Small angles and double bends were custom manufactured to precise specifications to ensure they aligned correctly.
The lighting system is predominantly direct lighting, softened with Austube’s ICE diffusers. Modules of uplight are included in areas where indirect light is required. Using one Austube linear profile for both direct and indirect lighting achieves the desired illumination in an aesthetically pleasing manner. All lighting modules are DALI controllable and dimmable.
